Steve Ellis, President

Steve Ellis has been in new home construction since 1999 when he started Countryside Homes in Danville, VA. From 2006 until 2015 he served as General Construction Manager for one of the largest custom home building companies in Central Virginia. Prior to building new homes, Steve’s company, Country Living Land Development Corp, bought large land parcels and subdivided them into “mini-estates”.

Prior to starting Ellis Homes with his son Kyle, Steve co-founded Craftsman Custom Home Builders with Joe Hepler, together building more than 150 homes throughout southwestern Virginia, before Joe’s retirement and that company settling with new ownership.

Kyle Ellis, Co-owner, Lead Construction Manager

Kyle is co-owner of Ellis Custom Homes and oversees construction of many of the homes the company builds throughout the Smith Mountain Lake region.

Michel Kordich, Sales

Michel leads the sales aspects of the business, working with customers at the start of the process and guiding them all they through until construction begins. She has helped customers build homes in numerous subdivisions in and around Smith Mountain Lake and is well-versed in their HOAs and restrictive covenants.

Matt Reese, Construction Manager

Matt supports Ellis Custom Homes in the field as a construction manager and brings more than 15 years of experience in the building and building supply businesses.
